Daniel Taxy, PsyD, is the Director of Clinical Training for PAI. He is also the program manager of the Community Based Programs. He was born in Chicago, IL and graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in psychology in 2008. He moved to the Bay Area to attend Alliant International University and obtained his Doctorate in August 2017. He has worked providing therapy and assessment at Crisis Support Services of Alameda County and the Psychological Services Center in Oakland, CA, and Richmond Area Multi-Services, Inc. before joining the team at PAI.
Dr. Taxy has conducted intellectual, eligibility, competence, and personality assessments with a wide variety of clients, and he has testified as an expert witness on matters related to competency to stand trial training and restoration. His current areas of clinical focus include promoting healthy sexual behavior, treatment with individuals who have ID or ASD diagnoses, and the management of aggression and anger; as well as how personality structure influences the media we consume.
